Communion Schedule

The Sacrament of the Altar is celebrated every Sunday of the Church Year at one or the other worship service. We follow the following schedule: the Lord's Supper is offered in the late service the first, third, and fifth Sundays of the month and in the early service the second and fourth Sundays of the month. The Sacrament is also celebrated at Christmas Eve, Christmas, Epiphany, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday afternoon, Easter, and the Ascension of our Lord. Please announce by card and place the card in the offering plate or give it to a deacon.

We practice Closed Communion -a person must be a member in good standing of a LC-MS congregation to be eligible to commune. Because oneness at the altar presupposes oneness in faith and doctrine, we expect all who commune at the Lord's altar to be those who are fully united with us: members of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation or a congregation of a sister synod.

It is a sad consequence of the division in Christianity that we cannot extend to all Christians a general invitation to receive communion. We invite all to join us in praying for the unity of the Church in the confession of the true doctrine.
